Revived from the scrap heap!! This song was originally intended for the Ashes & Icicles album, but didn't make the cut. Instead, other inferior songs were selected for that album, according to Dan Druff. It is a car wreck of incongruent sound and pathetic vocals, according to J.D.
Now available for your enjoyment or ridicule, whichever the case may be.
History:
The inspiration for this song came from a poem written by Lee Kauftheil. The music was actually written for the lyrics, however some of the lines were altered to make it more musical. The first demo of the song was completed in 2005, making it one of the first songs slated to be on the Ashes album. It went through many incarnations before it arrived at it's current and final version in 2006. J.D. was still not satisfied with the resulting monstrosity and it was shelved until a year later, March 2007.
Lyrics:
Lonliness is anger inside. Expecting more. Don't leave me now. I cannot tell you. You will not let me. I see the pairs and only single tonight. The future is like the past. Watching, lacking. I hope these will pass. Hope will keep us from hating the past.
